It’s about how we touch each other’s lives…
how we honor one another…
how we care for our Earth…
most importantly, it’s what we do with the gifts God has given us…
Lisa Kozel Mangione is a nautical, marine artist. Maryland's Chesapeake Bay, Atlantic Ocean and Florida Gulf Coast are Lisa's muses where she finds unending inspiration to render her contemporary realism paintings. Lisa Kozel Mangione began creating art at a very early age; drawing, painting, and designing as soon as she could hold a pencil. Although not formally trained in art, Lisa’s mother, a commercial artist, instilled in her an appreciation of art in every form. Nearly every weekend was spent sitting at the kitchen table with brushes and pencils bringing into being her artistic visions. This began her lifelong love of the creative process.
Growing up Lisa’s family vacations were spent on the Eastern Shore of Virginia fishing, crabbing and beach combing. She was taught about the importance of caring for our environment and has a true appreciation for nature. Lisa has seen firsthand the effects of toxic pollutants poisoning our waterways, our Chesapeake Bay and our oceans which is jeopardizing our earth, the inhabitants and all of humanity. Knowing change is needed, Lisa wanted to share her love and respect of this amazing Earth. Making a conscious decision to bring awareness to the beauty of God’s creation, she presents positive, soothing art that reminds viewers of our Earthly home. Water and sea life move her spirit and galvanize her to give back via her art.
Lisa is to be mentored by nationally renowned artist, Lee Alban as she continues to hone her artistic abilities.
